Midwest Book Review

Thanks so much Midwest Book Review for your sweet spotlight on Albert!

Engagingly written and charmingly illustrated by Beth W. Roberts, “Albert” is the story a mischievous, fun-loving, and very special mouse. This is a picture book story of a mouse who bakes delicious treats with love and sunshine and delivers them to your doorstep all wrapped in red bows. This is a also the story about how Albert came to live with Bob and Franny, and how he learned to share love, kindness, and sweet surprises with everyone, just to make them merry. “Albert” is about loving, baking, and giving. And inside are recipes, labels, and inspiration especially appropriate for children ages 4 to 8. While very highly recommended for family, daycare center, preschool, elementary school, and community library collections, it should be noted that “Albert” is also available in a digital book format ($4.99).”

Thank you & cookies!

Nothing says thank you like cookies! Many thanks to everyone that made Albert’s cookie party such a success! We had mouse crafts, cookies to sample, and lots of tiny feet scurrying about. And after many samplings, the winner of the cookie tasting was . . . Fran’s Bran Oatmeal Cookies (recipe found at the end of Albert)!

Many thanks to all for the warm welcome into the literary world!
